The municipal government of Caborca and its department of culture have announced events for the 2019 April fiestas from April 1 to April 7, 2019, to commemorate the town’s heroic defense against American filibusterers led by Henry Crabb in 1857.
All seven days of the fiestas are filled with a variety of family-friendly events like theater, music recitals, workshops, art exhibitions, sporting events, concerts, history presentations, film screenings, dances, a Charreada (traditional competition similar to a rodeo) and of course the 6 de Abril parade.
