Following are some events celebrated in Caborca every Fall:

September 15 and 16 – The festival de las patrias, celebrates Mexican Independence Day. On the eve of the 15th, citizens gather at Pueblo Viejo to hear the Presidente Municipal (mayor) shout the grita de independencia – Viva Mexico! Festivities continue on the 16th.

October 12 – Día de la Raza

October 24 – United Nations Day, celebrated by kindergarten
students, who dress up in international themes and have a parade down Avenida 6 de Abril to Pueblo Viejo.

November 1 – All Saints’ Day.

November 2 – Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is an important Mexican holiday to honor the departed. The holiday represents a synthesis between native indigenous beliefs and modern Christianity. Throughout Mexico, people go to Panteones (cemeteries) to visit and decorate the graves of their loved ones.

November 3-18 – The festival of San Diego del Alcala in Pitiquito

November 20 – Mexican Revolution Day – celebrates the Mexican Revolution of 1910-1920
